To be fair, all the murders depicted are of presumably minor characters. That can't be said for the deaths in the Halloween Kills trailer, as the bodycount continues to grow as the trailer goes on. Even then, the major ones were not fully depicted, so audiences were still surprised when the final blows were dealt to prominent characters. What was also nice about that scene is that very little of it was shown in the trailers for 2018's Halloween, but other kills were alluded to.
